Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) Theodore Doyle started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Breaghdha Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mulroog's Toran Cassin got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rourke Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Breaghdha Dempsey could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Blanaid McGlynn however easily saved by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Mulroog's Gil Byrne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paud Todd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Toran Cassin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toran Cassin in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paud Todd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Toran Cassin took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paud Todd. Paud Todd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Mulroog's Ricard Kelly got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Gil Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulroog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paud Todd having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gil Byrne made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Harrigan Glen Crowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, Ricard Kelly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gil Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paud Todd having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Toran Cassin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paud Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toran Cassin got free with Paud Todd in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Breaghdha Dempsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paud Todd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Byrne in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Ballyvaughan AFC's Paud Todd got control of the ball when Toran Cassin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toran Cassin came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paud Todd could save by the left post. If Toran Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mulroog fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Mulroog's Gil Byrne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute, Gil Byrne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paud Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Mulroog's Toran Cassin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paud Todd. That made the score 1-5 after 96 minutes of play. The Ballyvaughan AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mulroog were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
