Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Scott Cassin took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Cianán McAaron fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meenaward Utd's protests and gave Cianán McAaron a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, one of Meenaward Utd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meenaward Utd. The goalkeeper, Tirloch McOliver, was totally fooled by Mulroog's Ricard Kelly, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rourke Deans took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tirloch McOliver. Meenaward Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Gil Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mulroog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Byrne couldn't finish the play. Blanaid McGlynn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cianán McTommy hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Scott Cassin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blanaid McGlynn was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Toran Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 26th play minutes Scott Cassin shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Blanaid McGlynn and just under the crossbar into goal. Gil Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tirloch McOliver having to interfere. Gil Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Byrne to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Meenaward Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Cassin came free, but Tirloch McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toran Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tirloch McOliver having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Meenaward Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Cassin came free, but Tirloch McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blanaid McGlynn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Scott Cassin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. In the 79th minute Gil Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tirloch McOliver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mulroog were furious when Cianán McTommy was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 86th match minute, Mulroog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dawayne Palmer to maneuver through the defense. Meenaward Utd's Scott Cassin got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scott Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Meenaward Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Cassin came free, but Tirloch McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Mulroog were awarded a corner. Ricard Kelly went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Mulroog getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gil Byrne hit a great ball.
