Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Scott Cassin kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute of the match Shea Ramsey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tirloch McOliver showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Ballyvaughan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Cassin came free, but Paud Todd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nollaig McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Paud Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Scott Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, one of Meenaward Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 23 minutes into the match, Meenaward Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Theodore Doyle came free, but Tirloch McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nollaig McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Paud Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paud Todd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nollaig McGlenn in the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nollaig McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenaward Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Nollaig McGlenn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paud Todd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Meenaward Utd's Toran Brennan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paud Todd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Carrigan Tracy fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyvaughan AFC's protests and gave Carrigan Tracy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballyvaughan AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Carrigan Tracy hit a great ball. Nollaig McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Paud Todd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meenaward Utd. Hewney McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Paud Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nollaig McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Theodore Doyle made the kick off in the second half. Toran Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paud Todd having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodore Doyle in the 54th minute of play forced Meenaward Utd's goalkeeper Tirloch McOliver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breaghdha Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tirloch McOliver. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breaghdha Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Theodore Doyle sped through Meenaward Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tirloch McOliver. Tirloch McOliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodore Doyle in the 60th minute of the match. Breaghdha Dempsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tirloch McOliver having to make a save. When Nollaig McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Meenaward Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nollaig McGlenn couldn't finish the play. When Beckett O'Neill fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyvaughan AFC's protests and gave Beckett O'Neill a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Beckett O'Neill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nollaig McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Meenaward Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Breaghdha Dempsey came free, but Tirloch McOliver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tirloch McOliver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breaghdha Dempsey in the 78th minute of play. Breaghdha Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 83 minutes, Breaghdha Dempsey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyvaughan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breaghdha Dempsey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paud Todd came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Meenaward Utd's Nollaig McGlenn. But to his dismay, Nollaig McGlenn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toran Brennan during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toran Brennan hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Breaghdha Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tirloch McOliver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Meenaward Utd failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
