Spectators: 6830 (Terracing: 5830, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kaine McNamara made the kick off which started today's match. Breas Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon McLiam in the 2nd minute of play. In the 5th minute, Boyne Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Maryfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon McLiam came free, but Breas Robinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Gortnasate's goal looked a bit too open when Keeghan Lester came free, but Bradagain Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gortnasate getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aubrey McIan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keeghan Lester in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradagain Lavine saved Gortnasate from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Gortnasate's goal looked a bit too open when Kaine McNamara came free, but Bradagain Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bradagain Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaine McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Gortnasate getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Beamard Cronin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keeghan Lester in the 28th minute of play forced Gortnasate's goalkeeper Bradagain Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradagain Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keeghan Lester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Keeghan Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maryfield FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Keeghan Lester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradagain Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gortnasate's Bradagain Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaine McNamara in the 33rd minute of play. Brennen McJohn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bradagain Lavine having to make a save. If Raymun Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breas Robinson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendon McLiam's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Raymun Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Breas Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Maryfield FC booed when Gortnasate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bantry Murphy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raymun Taylor was the one to do the kick off. Breas Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymun Taylor in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon McLiam in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breas Robinson saved Maryfield FC from getting behind. Breas Robinson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baran Silke's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, Gortnasate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymun Taylor to maneuver through the defense. Brendon McLiam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendon McLiam in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breas Robinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Brendon McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breas Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaine McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradagain Lavine having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maryfield FC's goalkeeper Breas Robinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaine McNamara in the 91st minute of play forced Gortnasate's goalkeeper Bradagain Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
