In the 30th minute, Joshua Perth reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harvey Johnson. The goal made the score 1-2. Devlin Ferguson might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berach McLaughlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devlin Ferguson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peadair Robinson in the 38th minute of play forced Dunbeacon Utd's goalkeeper Berach McLaughlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, one of Runalunn FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Dunbeacon Utd's Bealtaine McIan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Harvey Johnson. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Joshua Perth made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Blavock Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berach McLaughlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peadair Robinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Runalunn FC's Peadair Robinson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Berach McLaughlin. Berach McLaughlin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 69 minutes, Barra McPaul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunbeacon Utd and the Runalunn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Barra McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerard McJohn, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Donavon Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
