Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Casey Hunt took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Bealtaine McIan fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunbeacon Utd's protests and gave Bealtaine McIan a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dunbeacon Utd! Dunbeacon Utd:s Berach McLaughlin showed great skill when he stopped Davie McAaron:s penalty. 13 minutes into the game, Rathose's Davie McAaron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berach McLaughlin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Blathmac Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Perth in the 16th minute of the match. If Casey Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Dennis Dillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 27 in the game by Rowland Deans from a close distance when the talented Berach McLaughlin managed to make a qualified save. Dunbeacon Utd's players were relieved. Dennis Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmac Savic having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rathose's Boddibevve McLian got a free kick in the 35th minute. Casey Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Barra McPaul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunbeacon Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathose the free kick. In the 38th minute, Barra McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berach McLaughlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With his leg Berach McLaughlin managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Rathose's Rowland Deans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute, Casey Hunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joshua Perth made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Hunt in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berach McLaughlin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Dennis Dillon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blathmac Savic. Rathose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennis Dillon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 58 minutes, Rowland Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowland Deans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berach McLaughlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Hunt, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dennis Dillon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rowland Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Berach McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Barra McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Rathose's Davie McAaron tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Rowland Deans made a precise shot to the right of Berach McLaughlin. Dunbeacon Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 96th minute, Joshua Perth fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Blathmac Savic, passed just outside the right post. Dennis Dillon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Blathmac Savic when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
