The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tirloch Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymun Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Brendon McLiam came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gortnasate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon McLiam couldn't finish the play. Tirloch Hamilton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendon McLiam's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. When Tipraite Quinnless fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyfarnan AFC's protests and gave Tipraite Quinnless a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Ballyfarnan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tipraite Quinnless. Brendon McLiam succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The audience was convinced that Raymun Taylor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tirloch Hamilton was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Raymun Taylor sped through Ballyfarnan AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tirloch Hamilton. Baran Silke took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tirloch Hamilton. Tirloch Hamilton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Bradagain Lavine made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Bressail Grant sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Raymun Taylor made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Ballyfarnan AFC's Tirloch Hamilton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tirloch Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymun Taylor in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dugan Moran in the 31st minute of play forced Gortnasate's goalkeeper Bradagain Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymun Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tirloch Hamilton having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Baran Silke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41st play minutes Brendon McLiam shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Tirloch Hamilton and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Tipraite Quinnless hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Brendon McLiam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raymun Taylor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ballyfarnan AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ryley Barrett hit a great ball. Raymun Taylor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Tirloch Hamilton made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ballyfarnan AFC's Bressail Grant got a free kick in the 74th minute. Bressail Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 83 minutes, Rollan Bayes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballyfarnan AFC and the Gortnasate players grew even worse after the yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, Ballyfarnan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beamard Cronin came free, but Tirloch Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Ballyfarnan AFC's Bray Myler made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bradagain Lavine was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 98th minute of the match Scothine Mulvihill sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bradagain Lavine skillfully saved the ball. Gortnasate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
