Frevanagh Utd's Pawd Walker couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Runalunn FC. Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derin McNamara in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Runalunn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braonain Ghee to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Cooney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Johnson having to interfere. Arthur Cooney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Harvey Johnson made a huge save. Derin McNamara succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 27 minutes, Peadair Robinson made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Frevanagh Utd's Louie Willson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute of the match Pawd Walker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harvey Johnson skillfully saved the ball. Runalunn FC's Peadair Robinson got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Frevanagh Utd getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Brandon McBrandon hit a great ball. If Devlin Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peadair Robinson to strike the kick off in the second half. Arthur Cooney might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harvey Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Cooney ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute, Derin McNamara made a precise shot to the right of Harvey Johnson. Runalunn FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Harvey Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derin McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Derin McNamara sped through Runalunn FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harvey Johnson. If Devlin Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Peadair Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Devlin Ferguson might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louie Willson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peadair Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Louie Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louie Willson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peadair Robinson's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peadair Robinson in the 96th minute of play forced Frevanagh Utd's goalkeeper Louie Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Runalunn FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
