The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brendon McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Harvey Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harvey Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon McLiam in the 16th minute of play. Críostóir McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon McLiam in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Devlin Ferguson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runalunn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devlin Ferguson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Raymun Taylor notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Runalunn FC's Harvey Johnson. Harvey Johnson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brendon McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Harvey Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradagain Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peadair Robinson in the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harvey Johnson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Runalunn FC defense, Raymun Taylor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Johnson. The Runalunn FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Johnson should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raymun Taylor to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Runalunn FC's zone, Raymun Taylor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harvey Johnson came out of the goal and Raymun Taylor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raymun Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harvey Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raymun Taylor in the 57th minute. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Runalunn FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Críostóir McJohnny was slow to take the kick. During this time Gortnasate's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 62 minutes, Peadair Robinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Runalunn FC and the Gortnasate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Runalunn FC's Peadair Robinson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Runalunn FC's goalkeeper Harvey Johnson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baran Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Harvey Johnson made a huge save. Brendon McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Harvey Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Runalunn FC's goalkeeper Harvey Johnson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raymun Taylor. In the 81st match minute, Runalunn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braonain Ghee to maneuver through the defense. Harvey Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon McLiam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Brendon McLiam sped through Runalunn FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harvey Johnson. 89 minutes into the match, Runalunn FC's goalkeeper Harvey Johnson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baran Silke. After having played for 92 minutes, Brendon McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortnasate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon McLiam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Brendon McLiam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Harvey Johnson. That made the score 0-6 after 98 minutes of play. Gortnasate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
