The supporters of Gortnasate booed when Rathose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendon McLiam's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Blathmac Savic skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Casey Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bradagain Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendon McLiam had several of the Rathose's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Blathmac Savic as he didn't even see the shot coming. 31 minutes into the match, Boylan McLiam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradagain Lavine. Gortnasate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boylan McLiam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gortnasate's Bradagain Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Hunt in the 34th minute of play. If Baran Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Bantry Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginald Lavine in the 44th minute of play forced Gortnasate's goalkeeper Bradagain Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes, Gortnasate's Bantry Murphy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blathmac Savic came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gortnasate reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casey Hunt to strike the kick off in the second half. Bradagain Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginald Lavine, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Beamard Cronin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes Gortnasate got a freekick which was hit by Beamard Cronin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon McLiam in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blathmac Savic saved Rathose from getting behind. The supporters of Gortnasate booed when Rathose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Bayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 minutes, Reginald Lavine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rathose and the Gortnasate players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rathose's Reginald Lavine got a free kick in the 68th minute. Raymun Taylor struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Blathmac Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gortnasate. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendon McLiam in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blathmac Savic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon McLiam in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blathmac Savic saved Rathose from getting behind. In the 79th minute Brendon McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmac Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Declan McBrand's late challenge caught a Gortnasate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Declan McBrand helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gortnasate booed when Rathose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Declan McBrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raymun Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Reginald Lavine dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bradagain Lavine, 3-2. In the 94th match minute, Gortnasate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aubrey McIan to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gortnasate fully deserved thier win.
