Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kaine McNamara started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyfarnan AFC's zone, Kaine McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tirloch Hamilton came out of the goal and Kaine McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bray Myler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Breas Robinson. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ballyfarnan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaine McNamara came free, but Tirloch Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ballyfarnan AFC booed when Maryfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brennen McJohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kaine McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bray Myler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breas Robinson having to interfere. When Tipraite Quinnless fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyfarnan AFC's protests and gave Tipraite Quinnless a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ballyfarnan AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tipraite Quinnless hit a great ball. Keeghan Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bray Myler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Breas Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Kennedy McWill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigan Walker hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dugan Moran to strike the kick off in the second half. When Maryfield FC's Kaine McNamara, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Maryfield FC. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maryfield FC's goalkeeper Breas Robinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, Maryfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigan Walker to maneuver through the defense. Ballyfarnan AFC's Bray Myler got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Keeghan Lester struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tirloch Hamilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maryfield FC. Bressail Grant hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Maryfield FC's Brennen McJohn got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Brennen McJohn off the ground. Brennen McJohn kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Boyne Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maryfield FC's protests and gave Boyne Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Maryfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyne Byrne to maneuver through the defense. Dugan Moran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breas Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maryfield FC's Healey Grant got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Bray Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breas Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bray Myler, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dugan Moran in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breas Robinson saved Maryfield FC from getting behind. Breas Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bray Myler in the 78th minute of the match. If Dugan Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breas Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dugan Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Maryfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bray Myler came free, but Breas Robinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Dugan Moran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Breas Robinson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After 97 minutes, Keeghan Lester made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ballyfarnan AFC's Tirloch Hamilton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ballyfarnan AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maryfield FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
