Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raymun Taylor got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon McLiam in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Berach McLaughlin saved Dunbeacon Utd from getting behind. Berach McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymun Taylor in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Raymun Taylor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berach McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baran Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berach McLaughlin having to interfere. Brendon McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Berach McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Dunbeacon Utd getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joshua Perth hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Dunbeacon Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Raymun Taylor came free, but Berach McLaughlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Dunbeacon Utd's Loughlin Rutherford seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Loughlin Rutherford the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dunbeacon Utd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Loughlin Rutherford had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dunbeacon Utd fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Gortnasate a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raymun Taylor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dunbeacon Utd's Berach McLaughlin. 0-2. Raymun Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Bantry Murphy fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortnasate's protests and gave Bantry Murphy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Gortnasate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bantry Murphy to maneuver through the defense. Dunbeacon Utd's Berach McLaughlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymun Taylor in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Brendon McLiam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gortnasate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brendon McLiam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dunbeacon Utd's Barra McPaul got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Berach McLaughlin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Berach McLaughlin came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam. But to his dismay, Brendon McLiam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dennis Dillon was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Raymun Taylor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dunbeacon Utd's Berach McLaughlin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barra McPaul's late challenge caught a Gortnasate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barra McPaul helped the player get up and apologised. Raymun Taylor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Berach McLaughlin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 0-4 became the score in the 61st minute when Brendon McLiam elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bannon Silke hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Brendon McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Dunbeacon Utd's goalkeeper Berach McLaughlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raymun Taylor. Gortnasate's Brendon McLiam got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beamard Cronin kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Baran Silke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berach McLaughlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Bradagain Lavine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Dillon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gortnasate played a much better game than Dunbeacon Utd and deserved their victory. The Dunbeacon Utd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
