Lack's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierson Palmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torrian Dunne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Pierson Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrian Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colm Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Pierson Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Taveon Caffrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrian Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colm Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colm Callaghan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Torrian Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Pierson Palmer made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cregganbaun's Torrian Dunne got control of the ball when Colm Callaghan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colm Callaghan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Torrian Dunne skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Shannon Johnson hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Pierson Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrian Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Taveon Caffrey fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lack's protests and gave Taveon Caffrey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Taveon Caffrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brigid Martyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lack getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Blanche McPaul hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Troy Mulvihill in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brigid Martyn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colm Callaghans short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Torrian Dunne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Lack left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cregganbaun.
