Abbeyleix Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tairbeart the free kick. A collision led to Abbeyleix Utd getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Brain McAlphie hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Auley Deery got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bradon Byrne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Lester in the 10th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Abbeyleix Utd's goalkeeper Gehan McLian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herich McOliver. After a rather tough play, Tairbeart's Auley Deery got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gehan McLian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abbot Lavine in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tairbeart's zone, Arthur Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradon Byrne came out of the goal and Arthur Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herich McOliver in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gehan McLian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 41stth minute of the game Auley Deery who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbeyleix Utd's Gehan McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Abbeyleix Utd's Gehan McLian got control of the ball when Herich McOliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience was convinced that Herich McOliver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gehan McLian was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Herich McOliver struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Gehan McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tairbeart. With his leg Bradon Byrne managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Abbeyleix Utd's Arthur Lester fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auley Deery in the 63rd minute of play forced Abbeyleix Utd's goalkeeper Gehan McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Herich McOliver notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Abbeyleix Utd's Gehan McLian. Gehan McLian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Tairbeart's zone, Rourke Costello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradon Byrne came out of the goal and Rourke Costello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robin Dunne hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Arthur Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abbeyleix Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradon Byrne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathmac Deans in the 94th minute of the match. Arthur Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradon Byrne having to interfere. Tairbeart's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
