Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Troy Mulvihill took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Riddoc Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clifferna Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riddoc Savic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iarla Todd hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Clifferna Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevion Dalton to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cregganbaun's Iarla Todd tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Donavan O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torrian Dunne made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Riddoc Savic sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rdth minute of the game Troy Mulvihill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clifferna Utd's Donavan O'Down was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute, one of Clifferna Utd:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clifferna Utd. In the 33rd minute Dermod Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torrian Dunne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Troy Mulvihill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donavan O'Down read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Hickey Silke might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donavan O'Down. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hickey Silke ran back to his position shaking his head. Donavan O'Down showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Troy Mulvihill in the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Riddoc Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clifferna Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riddoc Savic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Keefe Keegan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riddoc Savic in the 56th minute of play forced Cregganbaun's goalkeeper Torrian Dunne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torrian Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermod Murphy , who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Hickey Silke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Riddoc Savic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Torrian Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hickey Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Donavan O'Down made a huge save. Troy Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Clifferna Utd getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Cian Martyn hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Clifferna Utd's goalkeeper Donavan O'Down had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hickey Silke. After a rather tough play, Cregganbaun's Keely Doherty got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Torrian Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermod Murphy in the 86th minute of the match. Donavan O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ainnle MaCollin fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clifferna Utd's protests and gave Ainnle MaCollin a yellow card for diving instead. Ainnle MaCollin hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Donavan O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Hickey Silke notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Clifferna Utd's Donavan O'Down. Donavan O'Down was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Clifferna Utd supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cregganbaun's performance. The match ended with a win for Cregganbaun.
