Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pierson Palmer got the match started through his kick off. After 8 minutes, Braedon Hamilton made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lack's Brigid Martyn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Braedon Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Markhamstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedon Hamilton couldn't finish the play. After having played for 13 minutes, Fionn Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markhamstown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fionn Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lack's Brigid Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fionn Taylor in the 16th minute of play. Colm Callaghan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Baptist McCollion when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Braoin Hamilton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fionn Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Brigid Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Taveon Caffrey fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lack's protests and gave Taveon Caffrey a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Lack got a freekick which was hit by Taveon Caffrey. After 33 played minutes, Markhamstown's Rian Sheridan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brigid Martyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Markhamstown reached it. After 34 minutes, Blanche McPaul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lack and the Markhamstown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Lack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanche McPaul to maneuver through the defense. Braoin Hamilton, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Brigid Martyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braedon Hamilton, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Markhamstown were awarded a corner. Braoin Hamilton went to the cornerflag to take it. Markhamstown's Braoin Hamilton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Brigid Martyn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Baptist McCollion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colm Callaghan in the 43rd minute. If Fionn Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Braedon Hamilton was the one to do the kick off. Baptist McCollion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colm Callaghan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Braedon Hamilton hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Fionn Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Brigid Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blanche McPaul was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th minute, Blanche McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 61 in the game by Braedon Hamilton from a close distance when the talented Brigid Martyn managed to make a qualified save. Lack's players were relieved. After 62 played minutes Markhamstown got a freekick which was hit by Keely McStephen. Braedon Hamilton didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-3 via right post in the game's 73rd minute. Markhamstown's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When Braedon Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Markhamstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedon Hamilton couldn't finish the play. Kevis Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Keely McStephen hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Colm Callaghan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baptist McCollion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Braedon Hamilton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lack's Brigid Martyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baptist McCollion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taveon Caffrey in the 90th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Pierson Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lack getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bradon McDonald hit a great ball. Brigid Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braoin Hamilton in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Markhamstown eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
