Lynnbury's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Lynnbury's Bartel Prunty came free and shot a quick shot against goal 28 minutes in the game, fortunately Gehan McLian had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Bartel Prunty who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Gehan McLian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bartel Prunty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gehan McLian made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartel Prunty in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gehan McLian saved Abbeyleix Utd from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartel Prunty in the 55th minute of play forced Abbeyleix Utd's goalkeeper Gehan McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes, Lynnbury's Sheridan Todd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gehan McLian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lynnbury reached it. Herygh Dimson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Abbeyleix Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Lester to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Sheridan Todd shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gehan McLian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sheridan Todd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gehan McLian. Abbeyleix Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartel Prunty in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gehan McLian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the match, Lynnbury's Braoin Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gehan McLian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gehan McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartel Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, Abbeyleix Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hickey Callaghan to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Braoin Beckett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gehan McLian. Abbeyleix Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braoin Beckett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Gehan McLian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braoin Beckett in the 87th minute of play. Gehan McLian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartel Prunty in the 88th minute of the match.
