But to his dismay, Braedon Hamilton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Braoin Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braedon Hamilton struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. If Fionn Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Abbeyleix Utd getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hickey Callaghan hit a great ball. Markhamstown's Braoin Hamilton got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Blathmac Deans made the kick off in the second half. Gehan McLian made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Braedon Hamilton sent off a good shot on target. Abbeyleix Utd's Arthur Lester got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Brain McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Braedon Hamilton in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gehan McLian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Abbeyleix Utd's zone, Keely McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gehan McLian came out of the goal and Keely McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Markhamstown's Braedon Hamilton got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 75 in the game by Braoin Hamilton from a close distance when the talented Gehan McLian managed to make a qualified save. Abbeyleix Utd's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Abbeyleix Utd's zone, Braedon Hamilton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 84thth minute of the game Braedon Hamilton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbeyleix Utd's Gehan McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Markhamstown's Braedon Hamilton in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abbeyleix Utd's goalie prevented a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Markhamstown's Braoin Hamilton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gehan McLian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Braedon Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Markhamstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedon Hamilton couldn't finish the play. Braedon Hamilton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Gehan McLian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Braedon Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Braedon Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Markhamstown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedon Hamilton couldn't finish the play. Markhamstown's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
