In the 9th minute Bram McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brigid Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lack's Taveon Caffrey got a free kick in the 9th minute. Bram McGlynn struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Brigid Martyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knockrath AFC. Reilley Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lack's Taveon Caffrey got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 24th minute, Colm Callaghan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradagain Murphy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bradagain Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierson Palmer's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Knockrath AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pierson Palmer came free, but Bradagain Murphy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes, Bradon McDonald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lack and the Knockrath AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Knockrath AFC. Bellaghy Frankson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brigid Martyn. 1-1. Bradagain Murphy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Colm Callaghan in the 38th minute. Lack's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Binne Todd in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Lack's corner Binne Todd fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bradagain Murphy quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Lack booed when Knockrath AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brecc Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Reilley Ghee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pierson Palmer to make the kick off. Breadan Molloy hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Lack's Binne Todd tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Knockrath AFC's Bellaghy Frankson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lack. Bradagain Murphy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierson Palmer's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Reilley Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram McGlynn in the 63rd minute of play forced Lack's goalkeeper Brigid Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bram McGlynn might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brigid Martyn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bram McGlynn ran back to his position shaking his head. Reilley Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Reilley Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Knockrath AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reilley Ghee couldn't finish the play. Bram McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knockrath AFC's goalkeeper Bradagain Murphy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reilley Ghee was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Knockrath AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Reilley Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Colm Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
