After a rather tough play, Kilcotton's Art Palmer got a free kick in the 9th minute. Bree Dalton was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bran Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beothach O'Keefe in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Beennamweel booed when Kilcotton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bannon McMichel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Bannon McMichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barney Lavine in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donal Cronin saved Beennamweel from getting behind. Justin Martyn's late challenge caught a Beennamweel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin Martyn helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Kilcotton got a freekick which was hit by Justin Martyn. The Kilcotton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Beennamweel were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barney Lavine to strike the kick off in the second half. Bran Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Sheridan in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Kilcotton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Keegan to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes Kilcotton got a freekick which was hit by Bannon McMichel. In the 67th minute, Bannon McMichel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bran Hutton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Britt McStephen in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Kilcotton's goalkeeper Bran Hutton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baoithin Sheridan. 72 minutes into the game, Kilcotton's Barney Lavine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donal Cronin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Kilcotton's Art Palmer got a free kick in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney Lavine in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donal Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Justin Martyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donal Cronin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justin Martyn ran back to his position shaking his head. Bran Hutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Sheridan in the 96th minute of play. The Beennamweel players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
