In the 5th minute, Rowe McLiam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cathal Taylor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pawd Savic having to make a save. Flann Ryan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pawd Savic having to make a save. When Barnaderg's Babe McWillie in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballynagore AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Barnaderg booed when Ballynagore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cathal Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Babe McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Logan Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dennis Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rowe McLiam hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Ballynagore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Molloy came free, but Logan Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cathal Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Darrin Mullan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnaderg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballynagore AFC the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Barnaderg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrin Mullan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Molloy in the 46th minute of play forced Ballynagore AFC's goalkeeper Logan Scully to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Molloy to make the kick off. Breen Cassin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Pawd Savic came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballynagore AFC's Cathal Taylor. But to his dismay, Cathal Taylor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 63rdth minute of the game Cathal Taylor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnaderg's Pawd Savic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pawd Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cathal Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flann Ryan in the 66th minute of play forced Barnaderg's goalkeeper Pawd Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dennis Molloy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Molloy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Logan Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Flann Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pawd Savic was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cacey Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnaderg's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacey Dalton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Scully breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Babe McWillie fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Logan Scully, passed just outside the right post. Babe McWillie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Ballynagore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Molloy came free, but Logan Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Barnaderg's Babe McWillie made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Logan Scully was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ballynagore AFC's zone, Dennis Molloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Logan Scully came out of the goal and Dennis Molloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Logan Scully made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Holt in the 97th minute.
