Flann Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiscend Kelly having to interfere. Cathal Taylor might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baiscend Kelly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cathal Taylor ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolan McFrank kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Baiscend Kelly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cathal Taylor's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Comhghall Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Scully having to interfere. Logan Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conan McCollion, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Conan McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Logan Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duneen FC's Baiscend Kelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Duneen FC from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bola Ferguson to strike the kick off in the second half. Brendon Cronin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Boyd McLian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baiscend Kelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cathal Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Flann Ryan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiscend Kelly having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Duneen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cathal Taylor came free, but Baiscend Kelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
