With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tyrone McFrank in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hewney McWilliam saved Slievebane AFC from getting behind. Donn Holt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Keelin Hughes made a huge save. Theobald McSteven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Keelin Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Bow Glen Crowe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballygrady AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute Bow Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hewney McWilliam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ballygrady AFC's Bow Glen Crowe in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Ballygrady AFC booed when Slievebane AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bow Glen Crowe came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ballygrady AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bow Glen Crowe couldn't finish the play. Hewney McWilliam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bow Glen Crowe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ailín McWillie hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Bow Glen Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Slievebane AFC's zone, Tyrone McFrank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hewney McWilliam came out of the goal and Tyrone McFrank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, one of Ballygrady AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Slievebane AFC a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Patty Keegan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballygrady AFC's Keelin Hughes. 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theobald McSteven to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ballygrady AFC's Kealan Ghee got a free kick in the 66th minute. Keelin Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donn Holt in the 67th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Tyrone McFrank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hewney McWilliam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 73rd minute when Bow Glen Crowe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Bow Glen Crowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kealan Ghee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hewney McWilliam having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Tyrone McFrank took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hewney McWilliam to make any attempt to save it. Hewney McWilliam made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Bow Glen Crowe sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Ballygrady AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Slievebane AFC.
