Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trien McMichel started the match with the kick off. Trien McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saoirse McPhilip having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Callan's Alex Beckett got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Dugan Hunt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Callan's zone, Beothach Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boethis McGlenn came out of the goal and Beothach Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caherbarnagh's Beothach Lester got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st play minute Rowen McNamara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Saoirse McPhilip. 1-0. Beothach Lester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boethis McGlenn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Callan got a freekick which was hit by Alex Beckett. Baptist Sheridan's late challenge caught a Callan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baptist Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caherbarnagh getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Baptist Sheridan hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Becc Silke got free with Saoirse McPhilip in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Rowen McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Trien McMichel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saoirse McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Saoirse McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowen McNamara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Dugan Hunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Trien McMichel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saoirse McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Kerrigan Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Trien McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saoirse McPhilip having to interfere. When Keelin John fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Callan's protests and gave Keelin John a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Callan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keelin John to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Alex Beckett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saoirse McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trien McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Caherbarnagh's Beothach Lester slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Boethis McGlenn. That made the score 3-1 after 87 minutes of play. Giles Sheridan made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Keelin John immediately put the ball in play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Callan had won after a very even match.
