Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beothach Lester started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Beothach Lester notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Illanbaun Utd's Duff McPhil. Duff McPhil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Duff McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beothach Lester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Illanbaun Utd's zone, Kain Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duff McPhil came out of the goal and Kain Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Beothach Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caherbarnagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beothach Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Branson Scully's late challenge caught a Caherbarnagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Branson Scully helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Branson Scully. In the 21st minute Beothach Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duff McPhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Caherbarnagh's goal looked a bit too open when Branson Scully came free, but Saoirse McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kain Gough during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Illanbaun Utd's Duff McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beothach Lester in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kain Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caherbarnagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Kain Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duff McPhil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saoirse McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 35th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Illanbaun Utd got a freekick which was hit by Paudraig McLaughlin. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paudraig McLaughlin to make the kick off. Caherbarnagh's Saoirse McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brayden McSteven in the 53rd minute of play. Beothach Lester struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Duff McPhil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caherbarnagh. When Baptist Sheridan fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caherbarnagh's protests and gave Baptist Sheridan a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Caherbarnagh got a freekick which was hit by Baptist Sheridan. 63 minutes into the match, Caherbarnagh's goal looked a bit too open when Paudraig McLaughlin came free, but Saoirse McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saoirse McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terrence McBrand in the 65th minute of play. Dugan Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duff McPhil having to interfere. Saoirse McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paudraig McLaughlin in the 69th minute of play. Beothach Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Duff McPhil made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Beothach Lester sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Illanbaun Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kain Gough fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Kain Gough came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Caherbarnagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kain Gough couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Illanbaun Utd's Duff McPhil got control of the ball when Kain Gough tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beothach Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 89 in the game by Beothach Lester from a close distance when the talented Duff McPhil managed to make a qualified save. Illanbaun Utd's players were relieved. Illanbaun Utd's Boudibiua McFrank couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Caherbarnagh.
