Dugan Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Binnech McDonald hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Auley McCollion shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saoirse McPhilip showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Breslin Mullan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caherbarnagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Piqueteros the free kick. Saoirse McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenda Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kain Gough hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A hard shot 24 in the game by Brenda Keegan from a close distance when the talented Saoirse McPhilip managed to make a qualified save. Caherbarnagh's players were relieved. After 26 minutes of play Caherbarnagh's Breslin Mullan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Breslin Mullan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fachtna McGlynn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Saoirse McPhilip made a huge save. Caherbarnagh's Saoirse McPhilip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Caherbarnagh from getting a goal against them. Saoirse McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darby Myler in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Binnech McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kain Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kain Gough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brett Gallagher having to make a save. If Kain Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brenda Keegan to make the kick off. Deportivo Piqueteros's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Binnech McDonald scored to the left of an out of position Brett Gallagher, making the score, 0-1. In the 56th minute, Brandan Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Beothach Lester came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Caherbarnagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beothach Lester couldn't finish the play. Beothach Lester in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brett Gallagher, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Brett Gallagher came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Caherbarnagh's Beothach Lester. But to his dismay, Beothach Lester quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Kain Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Piqueteros's Brett Gallagher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Piqueteros from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Beothach Lester left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caherbarnagh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Beothach Lester might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Gallagher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beothach Lester ran back to his position shaking his head. Beothach Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
