Spectators: 7944 (Terracing: 6004, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gill Dimson made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Kevin Gillmour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Britain Barrett was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. A collision led to Glenieraragh getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Paudraig Lavine hit a great ball. Louis Rutherford was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Britain Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bricin Deans in the 11th minute. In the 12th match minute, Glenieraragh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tathan Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Glenieraragh's zone, Bricin Deans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Britain Barrett came out of the goal and Bricin Deans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gilbert McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glenieraragh's protests and gave Gilbert McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Glenieraragh's Gilbert McBrandon got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Kevin Gillmour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tallaght United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Gillmour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Britain Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Gill Dimson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baird Gillmour took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Banvan Taylor. Banvan Taylor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Banvan Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baird Gillmour in the 36th minute of play. When Geary Dempsey fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tallaght United's protests and gave Geary Dempsey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute Gill Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banvan Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kevin Gillmour to make the kick off. Banvan Taylor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert McBrandon in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Gill Dimson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Glenieraragh's Gill Dimson in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Banvan Taylor guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Baird Gillmour in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Banvan Taylor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Baird Gillmour put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Banvan Taylor. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gill Dimson in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Banvan Taylor saved Tallaght United from getting behind. In the 70th minute Gill Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banvan Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gill Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Glenieraragh's Paudraig Lavine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Banvan Taylor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baird Gillmour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 76 in the game by Baird Gillmour from a close distance when the talented Banvan Taylor managed to make a qualified save. Tallaght United's players were relieved. Fionn Quinnless charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fionn Quinnless the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Tallaght United got a freekick which was hit by Fionn Quinnless. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tallaght United's goalkeeper Banvan Taylor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baird Gillmour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
