Irwin Gollogley charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irwin Gollogley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Irwin Gollogley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Banvan Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Britt Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Barroosky booed when Tallaght United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irwin Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Britt Becketts short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Banvan Taylor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 39 minutes into the game, Britt Beckett lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Banvan Taylor. Tallaght United's Banvan Taylor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Tallaght United from getting a goal against them. Banvan Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Britt Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Britt Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Britt Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Banvan Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Britt Beckett in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Banvan Taylor saved Tallaght United from getting behind. Aaron Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aaron Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tallaght United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aaron Frankson was slow to take the kick. During this time Barroosky's players had a chance to rest. Brett Hunt was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 76 played minutes Barroosky got a freekick which was hit by Bola Moran. It was beautiful to see Tallaght United's Louis Rutherford in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Britt Beckett might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Banvan Taylor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Britt Beckett ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Britt Beckett in the 84th minute of play forced Tallaght United's goalkeeper Banvan Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Britt Beckett might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Banvan Taylor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Britt Beckett ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Britt Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banvan Taylor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barroosky had played much better football throughout.
