Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gill Dimson kicked off to start the match. Britain Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breen Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Samuel Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Declan McWillie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baird Gillmour in the 6th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Churchvilla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glenieraragh:s goal. The referee gave Glenieraragh a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Austin McFrank, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Churchvilla's Declan McWillie. 1-0. Britain Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerrigan Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Churchvilla's Bearchan McFrank got a free kick in the 17th minute. Glenieraragh's Baird Gillmour got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bearchan McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Barrett having to interfere. Britain Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breen Martyn in the 30th minute of play. Declan McWillie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gill Dimson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Declan McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gill Dimson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert McBrandon hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Paudraig McCollion in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Churchvilla's Kerrigan Brennan. Kerrigan Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Paudraig Lavine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glenieraragh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Churchvilla the free kick. In the 45th minute, Paudraig Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenieraragh's Gill Dimson got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Breen Martyn made a kick off. Britain Barrett made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Kerrigan Brennan sent off a good shot on target. Declan McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gill Dimson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Kerrigan Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the game, Gill Dimson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Declan McWillie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breen Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Barrett having to interfere. Britain Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Barde Doyle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 69 minute of play. Declan McWillie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baird Gillmour, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Breen Martyn lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Britain Barrett. After a defensive mix-up in Glenieraragh's zone, Breen Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Britain Barrett came out of the goal and Breen Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Churchvilla defense, Gill Dimson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Declan McWillie. The Churchvilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Declan McWillie should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gill Dimson in the 91st minute of play forced Churchvilla's goalkeeper Declan McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Gill Dimson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenieraragh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gill Dimson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baird Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baird Gillmour struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Declan McWillie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenieraragh. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Glenieraragh were victorious despite being under pressure from Churchvilla for much of the match.
