Spectators: 8024 (Terracing: 6020, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Barcvni Costello made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Theobald Walker threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ballybrittas's Peadair Dalton quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Theobald Walker made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Oliver McStephen however managed to control. 17 minutes into the match, Ballybrittas's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver McStephen came free, but Bearnad McSteven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Barcvni Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Barcvni Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brann Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breadan Byrne hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Breadan Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Peter McIan fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fethard's protests and gave Peter McIan a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Fethard got a freekick which was hit by Peter McIan. Barcvni Costello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brann Ferguson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. When Barcvni Costello came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ballybrittas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barcvni Costello couldn't finish the play. Barcvni Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barcvni Costello in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brann Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute Barcvni Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brann Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Barcvni Costello came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ballybrittas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barcvni Costello couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st match minute, Fethard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathmac Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. Brann Ferguson came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballybrittas's Barcvni Costello. But to his dismay, Barcvni Costello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Barcvni Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Bealtaine McPhil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballybrittas and the Fethard players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bealtaine McPhil kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Brendan Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bearnad McSteven having to interfere. Oliver McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bearnad McSteven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendan Prunty hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Barcvni Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fethard's zone, Harkin McPhilip stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brann Ferguson came out of the goal and Harkin McPhilip tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
