Devlin Duggan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Devlin Duggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald McSteve, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Flannery Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devlin Duggan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fuerty FC's Flannery Gallagher in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laochra's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Fuerty FC's Bivadi Brennan got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute, Bracken Callaghan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Gavin McOliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ennis Dillon lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Laochra fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donald McSteve to make the kick off. Cleary Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riddoc Martyn in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Fergal McStephen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cleary Crowe. Fuerty FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fergal McStephen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Logan Robinson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Devlin Duggan. That made the score 1-4 in the 61 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flannery Gallagher got free with Devlin Duggan in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the game, Laochra's Riddoc Martyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cleary Crowe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The audience was convinced that Riddoc Martyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleary Crowe was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Donald McSteve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Devlin Duggan. Laochra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald McSteve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Flannery Gallagher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Devlin Duggan made a huge save. When Riddoc Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Laochra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riddoc Martyn couldn't finish the play. Riddoc Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Laochra defense, Flannery Gallagher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Devlin Duggan. The Laochra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Devlin Duggan should have stopped the shot. In the 93rdth minute of the game Riddoc Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fuerty FC's Cleary Crowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Fuerty FC's Donald McSteve ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Devlin Duggan. Devlin Duggan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. When the final whistle sounded Fuerty FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laochra.
