Trien Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seán Hughes in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of DUUB booed when Aghnamullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pearse Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes Aghnamullen got a freekick which was hit by Richard Frankson. If Dennis Dillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aghnamullen's Trien Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seán Hughes in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aghnamullen's zone, Seán Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trien Quinnless came out of the goal and Seán Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bradain Gough let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 19th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. Brecc Ryan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes, Dennis Dillon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DUUB and the Aghnamullen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes DUUB got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Dillon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seán Hughes in the 37th minute of play forced Aghnamullen's goalkeeper Trien Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aghnamullen's Trien Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aubrey Lester in the 39th minute of play. When DUUB's Seán Hughes in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aghnamullen's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mack Bayes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trien Quinnless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seán Hughes in the 56th minute. If Seán Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Hunt made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by DUUB's Dennis Dillon. Dennis Dillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Aubrey Lester fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradain Gough in the 67th minute of play forced DUUB's goalkeeper Corey Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brecc Ryan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to DUUB getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dennis Dillon hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes Aghnamullen got a freekick which was hit by Richard Frankson. Brecc Ryan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Trien Quinnless didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DUUB. DUUB's Seán Hughes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecc Ryan in the 86th minute of play forced Aghnamullen's goalkeeper Trien Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trien Quinnless having to interfere. Seán Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brecc Ryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Trien Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DUUB were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
