The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Pearse Costello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DUUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rinbrack the free kick. In the 7th match minute, DUUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pearse Costello to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal Coyle in the 8th minute of play forced DUUB's goalkeeper Corey Willson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Blaithmeic McSteven fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DUUB's protests and gave Blaithmeic McSteven a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes DUUB got a freekick which was hit by Blaithmeic McSteven. In the 17th minute Rannal Coyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corey Willson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cashel McTommy scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corey Willson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Pearse Costello made a precise shot to the right of Beiti McSteven. Rinbrack's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rinbrack's Cashel McTommy got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Cashel McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corey Willson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Willson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rannal Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Cashel McTommy scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Corey Willson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rannal Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinbrack's supporters rose to their feet, but Rannal Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corey Willson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rannal Coyle made a kick off. Rannal Coyle was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Rinbrack's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Corey Willson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal Coyle in the 64th minute of the match. Scothine Tierney made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Blaine Doherty however managed to control. Rannal Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Corey Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Cashel McTommy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Seán Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beiti McSteven having to interfere. The Rinbrack supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rinbrack would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
