Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Turlough Beckett started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, Fuerty FC's Logan Robinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bellaghy Robinson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donald McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Fuerty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gearalt Deery to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fuerty FC's Arthur Quinnless got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fuerty FC's zone, Turlough Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleary Crowe came out of the goal and Turlough Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Keanu Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Flannery Gallagher came free, but Bellaghy Robinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Donald McSteve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flannery Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bellaghy Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flannery Gallagher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donald McSteve stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Scott Holt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bellaghy Robinson. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Gearroid McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleary Crowe having to interfere. Donald McSteve hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Turlough Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary Crowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bergin Hughes fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Keanu Utd's protests and gave Bergin Hughes a yellow card for diving instead. Bergin Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Flannery Gallagher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bellaghy Robinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleary Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearroid McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Louis Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Fuerty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Holt to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute of the match Turlough Beckett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cleary Crowe skillfully saved the ball. When Carrigan McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Keanu Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carrigan McPaul couldn't finish the play. When Donald McSteve fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fuerty FC's protests and gave Donald McSteve a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Fuerty FC got a freekick which was hit by Donald McSteve. Bellaghy Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald McSteve in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Keanu Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bergin Hughes to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald McSteve in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bellaghy Robinson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gearroid McFrank struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cleary Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keanu Utd. Keanu Utd's Bellaghy Robinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald McSteve in the 95th minute of play. Fuerty FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
