Spectators: 4100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 100, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rannal Coyle took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rannal Coyle in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trien Quinnless saved Aghnamullen from getting behind. A collision led to Aghnamullen getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bradain Gough hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rannal Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinbrack's supporters rose to their feet, but Rannal Coyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trien Quinnless breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the game, Gerard McSteven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aghnamullen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rinbrack the free kick. In the 14th minute, Gerard McSteven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Cashel McTommy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trien Quinnless stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rannal Coyle's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Gerard McSteven hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Rinbrack's Rannal Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trien Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blaine Doherty in the 29th minute of the match. Cashel McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cashel McTommy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Trien Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Rannal Coyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Trien Quinnless was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trien Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cashel McTommy in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Rinbrack's Rannal Coyle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trien Quinnless narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal Coyle in the 50th minute of play forced Aghnamullen's goalkeeper Trien Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mack Bayes made a kick off. If Blaine Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Rinbrack got a freekick which was hit by Scothine Tierney. In the 58th of the match, Rannal Coyle tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Trien Quinnless got in the way and made a wonderful save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rannal Coyle in the 66th minute of play forced Aghnamullen's goalkeeper Trien Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Aghnamullen's George Hunt got a free kick in the 67th minute. Cashel McTommy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Aghnamullen's Trien Quinnless got control of the ball when Cashel McTommy tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mack Bayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trien Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rannal Coyle in the 77th minute of play. Pearse Hamilton hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A hard shot 80 in the game by Cashel McTommy from a close distance when the talented Trien Quinnless managed to make a qualified save. Aghnamullen's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rannal Coyle in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trien Quinnless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pearse Hamilton's late challenge caught a Rinbrack's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pearse Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rinbrack booed when Aghnamullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pearse Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Trien Quinnless managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Rinbrack's Cashel McTommy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rannal Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rinbrack played a much better game than Aghnamullen and deserved their victory. The Aghnamullen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
