The tension between the Salia Sparta Club and the Firmount players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Salia Sparta Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 47 minutes into the match, Heron Gallagher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blathmacc McLaughlin. Firmount's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heron Gallagher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The Salia Sparta Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Firmount were winning 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rordan McJon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Barney McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Barney McCready ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Colm Quinnless was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. 62 minutes into the match, Salia Sparta Club's goalkeeper Colm Quinnless had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torran McCollion. In the 64th minute, Rordan McJon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dermod McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Salia Sparta Club's goalkeeper Colm Quinnless had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barney McCready. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rordan McJon in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colm Quinnless prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barney McCready in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Colm Quinnless, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 74th minute, Barney McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Berchan Horgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colm Quinnless made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney McCready in the 79th minute. Barney McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Colm Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colm Quinnless came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Firmount's Barney McCready. But to his dismay, Barney McCready quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. In the 88th minute, Barney McCready hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Firmount's Rordan McJon in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salia Sparta Club's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Rordan McJon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Colm Quinnless was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Rordan McJons short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Colm Quinnless to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Salia Sparta Club's Colm Quinnless proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Salia Sparta Club from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the game, Barney McCready cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Colm Quinnless was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 98 in the game by Barney McCready from a close distance when the talented Colm Quinnless managed to make a qualified save. Salia Sparta Club's players were relieved. Firmount's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
