In the 5thth minute of the game Paud Jameson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miseal AFC's Brendan McFrancise was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute Paud Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan McFrancise saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rockmills's Coran McVictor got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cormac McFrank in the 13th minute of play forced Rockmills's goalkeeper Bodibeua Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Miseal AFC's Peadar Lester in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In a very dangerous position, a player in Miseal AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Rockmills. Pearse McPhil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brendan McFrancise. 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Peadar Lester cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bodibeua Glen Crowe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Alex Ramsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockmills's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miseal AFC the free kick. Alex Ramsey hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Paud Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Miseal AFC booed when Rockmills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donegan Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peadar Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Dennis McCready hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bodibeua Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peadar Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Brendan McFrancise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paud Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bodibeua Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peadar Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gealan McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Brendan McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Miseal AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
