Brede Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Brett Mullan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geralt Silke's late challenge caught a FC Rosports's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geralt Silke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Geralt Silke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dowdallshill's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Brede Delaney scored to the left of an out of position Brett Mullan, making the score, 1-0. Brann Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gavin Caffrey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Dowdallshill's goal looked a bit too open when Brede Delaney came free, but Brett Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flann Silke kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Brede Delaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Bowie McFrank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Dowdallshill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flann Silke to maneuver through the defense. If Brann Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brede Delaney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Gavin Caffrey managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Dowdallshill's Brann Palmer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bowie McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Mullan having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Rosports defense, Brann Palmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavin Caffrey. The FC Rosports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavin Caffrey should have stopped the shot. Dowdallshill's Paudraig McAaron got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 played minutes FC Rosports got a freekick which was hit by Shiel McAlphie. Keely Hamilton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brett Mullan. Dowdallshill's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brann Palmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavin Caffrey having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Dowdallshill's Brann Palmer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavin Caffrey. Gavin Caffrey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Dowdallshill's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
