Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Geoffrey McBrand made the kick off and thus started the match. The Illanbaun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Brandan McOliver charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brandan McOliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Illanbaun's Brandan McOliver got a free kick in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoffrey McBrand got free with Paudraig Byrne in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Payton Silke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 played minutes Derrygile got a freekick which was hit by Bearnard McPaul. Bedilia Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Paudraig Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Illanbaun getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. After taking down the ball on Illanbaun's corner Tyrone Cooney fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paudraig Byrne quite easily take care of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Bedilia Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bartel Robinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Bedilia Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Illanbaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Bedilia Taylor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paudraig Byrne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute, Geoffrey McBrand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Payton Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffrey McBrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paudraig Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoffrey McBrand ran back to his position shaking his head. Geoffrey McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Paudraig Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paudraig Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoffrey McBrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Geoffrey McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paudraig Byrne came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Illanbaun's Geoffrey McBrand. But to his dismay, Geoffrey McBrand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.
