A wasted opportunity for Salia Sparta Club. 35 minutes into the game, Bren Branson lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Gavin Caffrey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brede Delaney in the 46th minute of play forced Salia Sparta Club's goalkeeper Colm Quinnless to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brede Delaney to make the kick off. Gavin Caffrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bren Branson in the 84th minute of play. If Bren Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bren Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavin Caffrey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heron Gallagher, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Rosports players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salia Sparta Club.
