Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brett Mullan came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Rockmills's Coran McVictor. But to his dismay, Coran McVictor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Bow McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Mullan having to interfere. Edward Hutton in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brett Mullan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Abban Mullan put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Dowdallshill's Abban Mullan got a free kick in the 24th minute. Pearse McPhil struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Brett Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockmills. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Hutton in the 31st minute of play forced Dowdallshill's goalkeeper Brett Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rockmills booed when Dowdallshill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blavock Hunt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Pearse McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Rockmills fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pearse McPhil couldn't finish the play. Edward Hutton in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brett Mullan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Brett Mullan was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Edward Hutton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Hutton really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After 43 played minutes Dowdallshill got a freekick which was hit by Paudraig McAaron. Edward Hutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Mullan having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Hutton made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Dowdallshill's Flann Silke got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Dowdallshill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paudraig McAaron to maneuver through the defense. Gealan McWill's late challenge caught a Dowdallshill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gealan McWill helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dowdallshill booed when Rockmills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gealan McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Dowdallshill getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Paudraig McAaron hit a great ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Edward Hutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dowdallshill's Brett Mullan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Rockmills's Pearse McPhil got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 83 played minutes Dowdallshill got a freekick which was hit by Paudraig McAaron. Brett Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bow McJames in the 87th minute of play. Bebhinn Crowe made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dowdallshill's Berrigan Doyle. In the 92nd match minute, Dowdallshill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brann Palmer to maneuver through the defense. Bow McJames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rockmills's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
