Barney McCready started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Firmount's Barney McCready nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paudraig Byrne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 played minutes Derrygile got a freekick which was hit by Dewayne Rutherford. Derrygile's Paudraig Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney McCready in the 11th minute of play. Paudraig Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torran McCollion in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Firmount's Rordan McJon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paudraig Byrne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 18th minute Torran McCollion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paudraig Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paudraig Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torran McCollion in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Barney McCready ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paudraig Byrne was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torran McCollion in the 28th minute of play forced Derrygile's goalkeeper Paudraig Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rordan McJon took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paudraig Byrne. Paudraig Byrne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 36th minute Barney McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paudraig Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Derrygile's goal looked a bit too open when Torran McCollion came free, but Paudraig Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paudraig Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barney McCready in the 38th minute of play. Paudraig Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torran McCollion in the 41st minute of play forced Derrygile's goalkeeper Paudraig Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Rordan McJon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paudraig Byrne. Derrygile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rordan McJon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Payton Silke made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Derrygile got a freekick which was hit by Dewayne Rutherford. Firmount's Barney McCready was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paudraig Byrne made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Barney McCready sent off a good shot on target. Paudraig Byrne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney McCready in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Torran McCollion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Paudraig Byrne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paudraig Byrne didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. In the 71st minute, Barney McCready left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Firmount fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torran McCollion in the 75th minute of play forced Derrygile's goalkeeper Paudraig Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Paudraig Byrne successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Paudraig Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute, Firmount's Torran McCollion dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Paudraig Byrne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barney McCready in the 83rd minute. Torran McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paudraig Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rordan McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Firmount's Torran McCollion slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paudraig Byrne. That made the score 0-12 after 89 minutes of play.
