If Duff Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Leahgarrow FC booed when Cloonymorris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bannon Silke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reamann Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bray McGlenn having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irving McFrank during the 17th minute. The supporters of Cloonymorris booed when Leahgarrow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bresal Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdia Cassin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gavin Rutherford. 40 minutes into the game, Tipper Colwell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ferdia Cassin. Tipper Colwell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tipper Colwell to make the kick off. Reamann Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bray McGlenn having to interfere. He walked away shaking his head. Ferdia Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tipper Colwell in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Tipper Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdia Cassin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tipper Colwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tipper Colwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdia Cassin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Tipper Colwell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdia Cassin having to make a save. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leahgarrow FC's goalkeeper Ferdia Cassin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Leahgarrow FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cloonymorris from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
