If Bercan McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Rio Marina F.C booed when Leahgarrow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bresal Brennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Marina F.C's zone, Shiel Cooney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bercan Hamilton came out of the goal and Shiel Cooney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bercan Hamilton made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Shiel Cooney sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes Rio Marina F.C got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence McTom. After 21 played minutes, Leahgarrow FC's Brandon Doherty shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bercan Hamilton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leahgarrow FC reached it. Bercan Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reamann Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Leahgarrow FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trien McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bercan McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Marina F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Bercan McNamara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdia Cassin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rio Marina F.C's Ryley Gallagher in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ferdia Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryley Gallagher in the 32nd minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Leahgarrow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryley Gallagher came free, but Ferdia Cassin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Reamann Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bercan Hamilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ryley Gallagher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ferdia Cassin made a huge save. Ferdia Cassin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryley Gallagher in the 57th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Ryley Gallagher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdia Cassin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rio Marina F.C's Bercan Hamilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Kelly in the 60th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Ferdia Cassin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryley Gallagher in the 80th minute of play forced Leahgarrow FC's goalkeeper Ferdia Cassin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shiel Cooney succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 86th minute, Shane Kelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryley Gallagher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Rio Marina F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leahgarrow FC.
