Bragan Grant charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bragan Grant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Balor Hamilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brogan Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Brogan Sheridan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Balor Hamilton. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Bunlahy's Brogan Sheridan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Fergal McNamara charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fergal McNamara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Bunlahy got a freekick which was hit by Fergal McNamara. In the 34th minute, Beatty McFrank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bunlahy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Balor Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roordan Martyn in the 55th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Brogan Caffey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunlahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trough the free kick. 65 minutes into the match, Trough's goal looked a bit too open when Beatty McFrank came free, but Balor Hamilton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Brogan Caffey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bunlahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brogan Caffey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balor Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beatty McFrank in the 68th minute of the match. Roordan Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balor Hamilton having to interfere. Tomás Brennan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beatty McFrank in the 81st minute of play forced Trough's goalkeeper Balor Hamilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beatty McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Balor Hamilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beatty McFrank in the 89th minute of play forced Trough's goalkeeper Balor Hamilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Brogan Sheridan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balor Hamilton. Trough's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brogan Sheridan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Trough's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
