Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Beatty McFrank got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Bunlahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fergal McNamara to maneuver through the defense. Rowley Quinnless missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 5 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Antaine Byrne right hand side. 7 minutes into the match, Bunlahy's goal looked a bit too open when Lochlainn McVictor came free, but Antaine Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donald Branson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Antaine Byrne came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by East Coast Fc's Baolach McAaron. But to his dismay, Baolach McAaron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Beatty McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bunlahy's Antaine Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bourns Horgan in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Bunlahy's Beatty McFrank made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Coyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antaine Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braoin Lester in the 36th minute of play. Bunlahy's Antaine Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lochlainn McVictor in the 38th minute of play. Antaine Byrne came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by East Coast Fc's Bourns Horgan. But to his dismay, Bourns Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Bunlahy's Brogan Sheridan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bunlahy's Brogan Caffey got a free kick in the 57th minute. Brogan Sheridan hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Lochlainn McVictor fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antaine Byrne, passed just outside the right post. Bunlahy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Eoin Savic scored to the left of an out of position Antaine Byrne, making the score, 1-3. Tomás Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Patrick Coyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beatty McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Antaine Byrne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. A collision led to Bunlahy getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Beatty McFrank hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Bunlahy defense, Eoin Savic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antaine Byrne. The Bunlahy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antaine Byrne should have stopped the shot. If Eoin Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
