Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6084, Seating: 1865, VIP seats: 122) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aaden Cooney got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Graniamore getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Brasil Silke hit a great ball. Raferagh's Baird McJohn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cormac McPaul in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Fergal Martyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Graniamore's goalkeeper Bellaghy McVictor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute Finbar McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bellaghy McVictor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cahir Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bellaghy McVictor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bellaghy McVictor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaden Cooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cormac McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Baird McJohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Graniamore getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Brasil Silke hit a great ball. Aaden Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fergal Martyn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bellaghy McVictor having to make a save. Aaden Cooney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bellaghy McVictor having to interfere. Baird McJohn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cormac McPaul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaden Cooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bellaghy McVictor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cormac McPaul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaden Cooney came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bellaghy McVictor could save by the left post. Aaden Cooney in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bellaghy McVictor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fergal Martyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bellaghy McVictor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Raferagh made a substitution. Bergin Quinnless replaced Bairthmead Palmer. Finbar McNamara might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bellaghy McVictor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Finbar McNamara ran back to his position shaking his head. After 76 played minutes Graniamore got a freekick which was hit by Tiarnan MaCollin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiarnan MaCollin in the 80th minute of play forced Raferagh's goalkeeper Baird McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiarnan MaCollin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Graniamore booed when Raferagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaden Cooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aaden Cooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Cahir Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Raferagh and the Graniamore players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Raferagh:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Graniamore:s goal. Raferagh played a much better game than Graniamore and deserved their victory. The Graniamore players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
