An unexpectedly hard shot by Brion Glen Crowe in the 6th minute of play forced Raferagh's goalkeeper Baird McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Raferagh's Aaden Cooney made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bec Martyn was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Aaden Cooney notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Drom Utd's Bec Martyn. Bec Martyn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bohannon Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Baird McJohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Aaden Cooney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bec Martyn. Drom Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaden Cooney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bohannon Kelly made a kick off. Bec Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fergal Martyn in the 59th minute of the match. Bec Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fergal Martyn in the 61st minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Cahir Delaney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raferagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drom Utd the free kick. The supporters of Drom Utd booed when Raferagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cahir Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bec Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaden Cooney in the 68th minute of play. Bec Martyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaden Cooney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Aaden Cooney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raferagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaden Cooney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bec Martyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Finbar McNamara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baird McJohn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bohannon Kelly in the 81st minute of the match. Aaden Cooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute Fergal Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bec Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finbar McNamara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bec Martyn having to interfere. If Finbar McNamara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee showed Brak Costello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brak Costello hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Bohannon Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Baird McJohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raferagh walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
