Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Walshtown's Beag Holt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Patrick McDecland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Biviti Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walshtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Biviti Frankson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fahamore's zone, Biviti Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kain McLian came out of the goal and Biviti Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brett Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinn McBrandon in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Piers McGlynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beag Holt in the 19th minute of play forced Fahamore's goalkeeper Kain McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Beag Holt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kain McLian. Fahamore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beag Holt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Kain McLian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beccan Cassin went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Biviti Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piers McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Walshtown's goalkeeper Brett Ghee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quinn McBrandon. Kain McLian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beag Holt's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After 41 minutes, Caimin Myler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fahamore and the Walshtown players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fahamore getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Caimin Myler hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Quinn McBrandon made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Biviti Frankson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walshtown and the Fahamore players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fahamore booed when Walshtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biviti Frankson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brett Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn McBrandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beag Holt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Kain McLian made a huge save. Biviti Frankson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Fahamore's Kain McLian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beag Holt in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Piers McGlynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
