The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Walshtown. The referee gave FC Dublin24 a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ryland McPaul, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Walshtown's Brett Ghee. 1-1. In the 18th minute, Beag Holt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Biviti Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymun Callaghan having to interfere. When Biviti Frankson came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Walshtown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biviti Frankson couldn't finish the play. Beag Holt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raymun Callaghan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Walshtown:s Brett Ghee showed great skill when he stopped Ryland McPaul:s penalty. Bellaghy Dillon charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bellaghy Dillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, FC Dublin24 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bellaghy Dillon to maneuver through the defense. Raymun Callaghan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Walshtown's Biviti Frankson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raymun Callaghan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FC Dublin24 getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jack McPhilip hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack McPhilip stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walshtown's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Jack McPhilip scored to the left of an out of position Brett Ghee, making the score, 2-2. In the 70th match minute, Walshtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don McPaul to maneuver through the defense. If Biviti Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Glenn Hutton fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dublin24's protests and gave Glenn Hutton a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes FC Dublin24 got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Hutton. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Biviti Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walshtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Biviti Frankson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymun Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute Beag Holt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymun Callaghan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymun Callaghan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beag Holt, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
